Notice is hereby given that the Wyoming Department of Transportation has accepted as completed according to plans, specifications and rules governing the same work performed under that certain contract between the State of Wyoming and Kilgore dba Lewis & Lewis, Inc., The Contractor, on Highway Project Number B233021 in Lincoln, Uinta and Sweetwater County, consisting of milling, bituminous surfacing, traffic control and miscellaneous work, and the Contractor is entitled to final settlement therefore; that the Director of the Department of Transportation will cause said Contractor to be paid the full amount due him under said contract on June 25, 2024.

Johnson are the Decedent’s sole heirs at law and the sole distributes under the Decedent’s Last Will and Testament, and there are no other heirs at law or distributees of the Decedent having a right to succeed to Decedent’s Real Estate.  As a result, the above-described Petitioners are entitled to a decree of this Court distributing the Decedent’s Real Property to the Petitioners.

Pursuant to W.S. § 2-1-205(d) any objections to the Application shall be filed with the court before the expiration of the later of twenty (20) days after the mailing of this Notice to a recipient, or thirty (30) days after the date of first publication of this Notice, whichever occurs first, and if such objection is not so filed, it will be forever barred.

I, Amanda Hutchinson, Uinta County Clerk, do hereby certify the Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Candidate Filing Dates: May 16 through May 31, 2024

All candidates who file to run for office at the Uinta County Clerks Office, must file their original application at 225 9th Street in Evanston.  This includes Precinct Committemen and Committewomen. No candidate applications will be accepted via email.

Political Party Changes

Voters will not be able to change their political party affiliation after May 15, 2024.  Registered voters may request to change their political party affiliation after the Primary Election.  Newly registering voters or voters re-registering will be permitted to select a political party affiliation when they register to vote. 

Absentee Voting

The time allowed for absentee voting has changed from 45 days prior to the election to 28 days prior to each election.  Uniformed and Overseas Citizens who wish to vote absentee will still be allotted 45 days prior to each election for absentee voting.

BALLOT PROPOSITIONS:

Ballot Proposition One (1) for Residents of Uinta County

Shall the Board of County Commissioners by and for the County of Uinta, State of Wyoming, be authorized to impose an excise tax for economic development of ½% upon retail sales of tangible personal property, admissions and services made within the county, the purpose of which is for economic development, to be allocated to the county and four municipalities based upon population to manage and invest in economic development projects of their choosing.  Economic Development shall be as any project or activity that encourages private sector development of companies that provide higher than average wages, create primary jobs, diversify the economy, and generate tax revenue.  If passed, the same proposition shall be submitted at the second General Election after the election at which the proposition was initially approved, i.e., 2026 General Election, and then at the general election held every four (4) years thereafter, until defeated.

I further certify that the date of the General Election is November 5, 2024, and that the judicial, school board and special district board offices and all of the above listed offices except for precinct committeemen and committeewomen and Ballot Proposition One (1) will be elected and the following ballot questions and/or any other ballot questions which may qualify for inclusion shall be decided at the General Election:

The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on May 7, 2024 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston. Chairman Mark Anderson convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Brent Hatch and Commissioner Eric South were present. Also present:  Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk.

Healthcare Council Trust Board Appointment

Airport Hangar Lease

Motion Hatch, second South to approve a lease for Fort Bridger Airport Hangar #5 with James Richard Long for $480.00 per quarter as requested by Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk.  3 yes votes, passed.

Precinct Boundary Modification

Motion South, second Hatch to authorize Resolution 24-12 modifying the precinct boundaries of District 1 Precinct 3 and District 1 Precinct 4 which would eliminate District 1 Precinct 3 Split 2 by moving that area in to District 1 Precinct 4.  The change will not impact the Polling Place, City Ward, House District, or Senate District of the voters in this area.  3 yes votes, passed.

First Regular Meeting

May 7th, 2024

The official record of proceedings of the first regular meeting of the Evanston City Council for the month of May was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded and streamed live.

Mayor Williams led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present.

Those present from the governing body at the start of the meeting were: Mayor Williams; Council members, Tim Lynch, Jesse Lind, Evan Perkes, Dave Welling, Mike Sellers and Jen Hegeman.

FORECLOSURE SALE NOTICE

WHEREAS, default in the payment of principal and interest has occurred under the terms of a Promissory Note (the “Note”) dated December 11, 2017, executed and delivered by Todd Melvin Meeks (“Mortgagor”) to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and a real estate Mortgage (the “Mortgage”) of the same date securing the Note, which Mortgage was executed and delivered by said Mortgagor, to said Mortgagee, and which Mortgage was recorded on December 13, 2017, at Reception No. 1046192, in Book 1061, at Page 572-585 in the public records in the office of the County Clerk and ex-officio Register of Deeds in and for Uinta County, State of Wyoming; and
