Janice Lorain Fay, a woman of faith, humor, and unyielding love, left us on Friday, July 19, after 79 years of a life well-lived. Born on Aug. 16, 1945, she wielded infectious wit, friendliness, and a heart full of love that made her a beacon of warmth to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her cherished daughters, Kimberly (David) Homer and Korey (Buck) McDaniel, whom she adored, survive Janice. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelley, Destiny, DJ and Micah Homer, Evyn (Cynthia) and Mykayla McDaniel and Keigan Selph; her great-grandchildren, Judah and Wynter Homer; sisters, Ceryse Livermore and Malani Bulgin; and brother, Kenney Vogt.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Garold Fay; parents, George and Vitalene Vogt; her daughter, Kelley; and son, Gary; as well as her brother, George Vogt.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all sorts of outdoor activities. In her younger years, she played on bowling leagues and in pool and dart tournaments.
Janice demonstrated extraordinary faith and commitment after offering her life to her Lord and Savior. Reflecting an unwavering spirit, she received baptism in her 70s, an event that significantly defined her. Her life embodied the lesson she often imparted, to worship with abandon, a philosophy that infused her daily life with passion and vigor.
We invite those who knew and loved Janice to join us in celebrating her life at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at the Calvary Assembly of God. It will be an occasion to remember and honor her vibrant spirit and her unwavering faith.
Janice’s legacy is a reminder that it’s never too late to give your life to Jesus and live unyieldingly for him daily. We will remember her fondly, her memories preserved within our hearts, we look forward to her greeting us in heaven with her warm hug and genuine smile.

She will be greatly missed, her absence profoundly felt. Janice’s life was not just a life lived, but a tale of kindness, faith and love, etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
