It is time to add intelligent energy to the Evanston City Council. It is time to add another talent, who will investigate and offer solutions to problems. It is time to add someone, not to attend meetings, but to provide needed additional leadership to the council.

It is time to elect Mike Slaughter to Ward 1 of the Evanston City Council.

Mike is a nuclear chemical engineer with a sharp mind. He has been a teaching university professor with outstanding credentials. He is reasonable and logical and invested in our city. He has purchased two properties downtown. He lives in one and is developing the other for commercial use.

Mike is honest, positive and easy to talk with. He attends council meetings, he’s familiar with our problems and he serves as a volunteer on various projects. His overall wisdom will be a great asset to the council.

Because he owns and operates a nuclear reactor in California, he frequently consults with our senators in Washington, D.C.

Mike could live anywhere — he chose Evanston to be his home. He also owns a ranch in the Bridger Valley.

It is said that if you want anything done, ask a busy man. Ask Mike to be your councilman.

Elect Mike Slaughter to the Evanston City Council, Ward 1.
