“We got ourselves into a number of tight places in this tournament, but we were able to wiggle our way out of each of those places and turn it into a win. We were a bit of a rollercoaster at times and at other times we looked pretty fabulous. Also, at the end of the day, we have a lot of things to work on in order to make us a more solid and complete team.” Lyman volleyball coach Brecia Hansen following her team’s win at the Star Valley

“We were able to be very aggressive at the net (Friday) in both our hitting and blocking, and that made a tremendous difference in giving us a bit of an upperhand. We have not blocked well prior to (Friday) and I’d like to think it was due to the attention paid to our blocking in practice this last week. Our setter, Kylie Walker, is out with a knee injury and so I replaced her with a combination of Olivia Smith and Brooklyn Walker. I also used Mandy Eyre on the right side. Even with all of these adjustments, my team delivered. Star Valley is the defending state champions and always puts together a competitive team and I was very happy to come away with a win tonight.” – Lyman volleyball coach Brecia Hansen on her team’s win against Star Valley.
