Evanston goes 0-2
Kelly Walsh, the No. 2 team in the Class 4A state rankings, knocked off No. 5 Evanston in three sets on Friday.
The Lady Trojans (26-4), last season’s state runner up, claimed a 25-16, 25-15, 25-12 against the Lady Red Devils.
On Saturday, Evanston (14-11) suffered a 3-1 lost to unranked Natrona. The Fillies (16-12) earned a 23-25, 25-14, 28-26, 25-22 win against the Lady Red Devils.
Evanston returns to action on Friday at home against Jackson.
Lyman continues to roll
Lyman, ranked fourth in Class 3A, went 4-0 on Friday and Saturday at the 3A West Conference duals at Mountain view.
The Lady Eagles (19-4) beat Cody, Lander, and Powell in straights sets and earned a 3-1 win over fifth-ranked Riverton.
Lyman will host Green River on Tuesday.
Lady Buffalos go 3-1 at conference duals
Mountain View went 3-1 at the conference duals on Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Buffalos (13-11) beat Lander in straight sets on Friday before falling to No. 3 Cody 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-16.
On Saturday, Mountain View knocked off Powell 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20 before claiming a 25-20, 23-25, 28-26, 18-25, 15-10 against No. 5 Riverton.
The Lady Buffalos are back in action on Friday at Star Valley.
