Devils run in Davis County meet

The Red Devils traveled to Kaysville on Saturday to compete in the Davis Invitational. There were large schools there with tremendous athletes who put the pressure on Evanston to compete at their highest level and the Red Devils proved their mettle.
To kick things off, the Lady Red Devils competed in the 100-meter hurdles and Leila Martinez won the event with a blazing time of 16.05.
Tayler Groll was 16th out of 56 competitors, with a time of 17.52.
Groll also placed 15th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.15.
In the boys’ 110-meter hurdles, Jesse Barker continued to show high athleticism by placing 8th with a time of 16.20, and then he placed 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.07. Hunter Groll was 15th with a time of 42.41.
Breila Fuller has been putting the pressure on other teams all season in the 800-meter run. She placed 3rd at the Davis Invitational with a time of 2:26.49.
In the boys’ 800-meter run, Tyrell Halladay placed 13th covering the distance in 2:03.74.
Seth MacDonald placed 18th in the boys’ long jump covering a distance of 5.82.
Kaelyn Hiatt and Amber Lowe tied for 17th place in the pole vault with a height of 6-11.75.
Dustin Smith placed 17th in the boys’ pole vault with a height of 11-05.75.
Rylee Guertzgen was 7th in the girls’ shot put competition with a distance of 31-feet 8-inches.
