High Uinta Gymnastics (HUG) heads to Wyoming State Gymnastics Championships to be held this weekend in Sheridan. All of HUG’s competitive team has qualified for state; however, only 25 talented Xcel athletes are traveling to have a chance of taking a state title in vault, bars, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around, which is a total of all the events added together. They are also hoping to hang onto their first-place team title won last year.
HUG has six Xcel Gold Level, eight Xcel Silver Level, and 11 Xcel Bronze Level athletes sparing for the respective titles with 21 teams from around the state. As of today, there are 408 athletes converging on Sheridan to compete for individual and team titles. Good luck to all athletes!
