Rusty Fife passed away on Saturday, March 2, in Bountiful, Utah, while recovering from surgery. He was born in Evanston on Oct. 11, 1957, to Roger A. Fife and Janice M. Fife.

He was the oldest of four siblings, survived by Kent (Shanda) Fife of Evanston; Heidi Fife of Evanston; and Michelle “Mikki” Fife of Des Moines, Iowa.

Rusty was co-owner of Fife Welding and Excavation and owner of Rusty’s Customs Upholstery. He was a Mason and Shriner. He lived life large. Throughout his life, he enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, skiing, fast women, fast cars and a good party with friends.

He was a damn good cook whose spicy mustard was a local favorite, and his green chili was the best. Those who knew him well know he was ornery and outspoken, but he had a big heart and was a loyal friend.

No funeral services will be held, but a party in his honor that we hope he will haunt, will be scheduled this summer.
