Crews rescue Idaho woman stuck on culvert near Downs

On Friday, July 12, at approximately 6:45 p.m. the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office, along with Evanston and Bear River fire departments and Wyoming Highway Patrol, responded to a single-vehicle crash which occurred at the entrance of the Wyoming Downs off of Hwy 89. The vehicle came to a rest on top of a culvert and was secured in place by citizens on scene until firefighters secured the vehicle with their equipment. One female was transported to Evanston Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is being investigated by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office.
