Community Foundation, First Bank make local donations

Posted

The Uinta Community Service Center (UCSC), dedicated to streamlining resource assistance and to “allowing all people to maintain dignity and respect...moving toward long-term personal and financial sustainability,” according to its mission statement, recently received two significant monetary donations. $1,000 and $5,000 donations were made by First Bank and the Wyoming Community Foundation (WCF) respectively. “We try to support different organizations within our community footprint, but the one thing that interested us the most about this organization is that it directly addresses homelessness,” said First Bank Marketing Regional Manager Ben Bell. UCSC Chair Wayne Dennis said, “I thank them for their donations,” before explaining to the Herald what the funds are used for.  The organization recently helped a family of four with two young children with food and shelter after experiencing a payroll complication. It’s also assisted with travel expenses and utility payments.
