Uinta County Sheriff’s Office incidents
Oct. 23-29, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed may not reflect final disposition of cases.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office responded to 118 incidents between the dates of Monday, Oct. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 29. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, breaking and entering, two burglaries, controlled substance possession, a dead body, two DUIs, two driving under suspension incidents, and two escorts.
Deputies also responded to a family fight, four fires, a probation/parole violation, eight public service programs, six rancher contacts, five traffic accidents with property damage, two traffic accidents with personal injury, property theft, four wanted persons, and four welfare checks.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office arrested five persons between the dates of Oct. 23 and Oct. 29.
Patrick Barnum, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Shalon L. Foutz, of Rock Springs, was arrested for driving while under suspension, failing to report an accident with damage over $500, and driving without a license.
Rex B. Geldert, of Fort Bridger, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.
Johanne A. Maycock, of Evanston, was arrested for child endangering related to drugs and a court supervised sanction.
Jacob J. Swisher, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
