Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed may not reflect final disposition of cases.

The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office responded to 204 incidents between the dates of Monday, Nov. 20, and Sunday, Dec. 3. Incidents included an assault, an alarm, 14 ambulance or medical assists, seven animal problems, 19 agency assists, child abuse or neglect, 12 citizen assists, three citizen investigative contacts, controlled substance use, four controlled substance possessions, domestic violence, a drug interdiction, five drug tests, three DUIs, six driving under suspensions, an emergency detention, 10 escorts, two family fights, a false fire alarm, three fires, two harassments, 17 information reports, an intoxicated person, three intra-departmental assists and two jail offenses.

Deputies also responded to a juvenile problem, five livestock problems, a noise problem, property destruction, three prisoner transports, a prowler, two possession of stolen property incidents, two public service programs, three rancher contacts, reckless endangering, recovered stolen property, a sex offense, receiving or possessing stolen property, suspicion, six traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic accident with personal injury, a traffic complaint, a traffic offense, automobile theft, unsecure premises, unauthorized use of a vehicle, 12 wanted persons, a warrant arrest, a child welfare check and four welfare checks. 

The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21 persons between the dates of Nov. 20 and Dec. 3. One arrest was a redacted emergency detention. 

Bobby R. Atkinson, of Columbia, South Carolina, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

Crystal L. Ball, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension, possessing a controlled substance and child endangering.

Holly L. Bence, of LaBarge, was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Colton D. Benton, of Mountain View, was arrested for driving while under the influence, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing stolen property and possessing a controlled substance. 

Troy B. Bergen, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance.

James B. Brown, of Evanston, was arrested for battery of a household member.

Cory P. Case, of Evanston, was arrested on a drug court sanction.

David M. Childress, of Muenster, Texas, was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Chance G. Cole, of Vernal, Utah, was arrested on a felony warrant.

Joshua J. Doan, of Mountain View, was arrested for burglary and theft.

Nelse J. Erickson, of Robertson, was arrested for property destruction. 

Julia M. Estes, of Lyman, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a drug court sanction. 

Travis Gross, of Lyman, was arrested for misdemeanor probation revocation. 

James L. Kesler, of Ogden, Utah, was arrested for felony probation revocation. 

Mark A. Lymas Jr., of Evanston, was arrested for failing to maintain insurance, speeding, possessing a controlled substance and driving while under suspension.

Bradley M. Mair, of Rock Springs, was arrested for failing to appear and misdemeanor probation violation. 

Rawdy R. Snyder, of Lyman, was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Melissa M. Sosa, of Lonalinda, California, was arrested on bond revocation and failing to appear. 

Laddie R. Tycz Jr., of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.

Matthew R. Wise, of Sandy, Utah, was arrested for second degree sexual assault.
