Tami Fae Martin

Tami Fae Martin of Evanston passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21. Tami was born Feb. 28, 1958. She was the daughter Lewis R. Martin and LaVerne Lester Martin. Tami lived most of her life in Hilliard.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tami attended school in Evanston then graduated from high school in Salt Lake City. She attended business school in Denver and later got her real estate license.

Tami enjoyed living in the country and spending time in the outdoors hunting for rocks. She had a great love for animals, especially dogs and horses. Tami’s sense of humor at times caught people off guard, but those who knew her best loved it. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Tami is survived by a son, Jayson Maples of Evanston; a daughter, Leah Maples of Idaho; and the light of her life, granddaughter, Tavia Marie (My Honey Bee). She is also survived by sisters Shirley (Robert) Keck, Vauna (Alan) Rasmussen; and brothers Eldon (Judy) Martin, Keith (Peggy) Martin, Orrin (Natalie) Martin, Brad (Kristy) Martin; and a large extended family. Tami loved her family and was very loving and giving.

Tami is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis R. Martin and LaVerne Lester Martin; and three brothers, Jerry, Murry and Ross.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28. Her final resting place will be in the Evanston cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
