Sandra May Freeland, 73, passed away Friday, Dec. 24, at her home in Evanston.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1948, in Elmira, New York, to Clarence Samuel and Barbara Jane (Watkins) Brown.

On Feb. 6, 1971, she married William Richard Freeland in Chesaning, Michigan.

Sandra was an elementary teacher in the Uinta County School District No. 1 for 30 years. She taught many, many students at Uinta Meadows Elementary School. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, reading, journaling and traveling. She loved her family and loved to watch her granddaughters play volleyball.

She is survived by her loving husband, William; sons, Paul (Kodi) and Scott; as well as her four grandchildren, Kortney, Kaytlen, Emily and Max.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Barbara.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
