Mildred Irene Matthews Day, age 80, reunited with her eternal companion on Wednesday, May 6. She was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Evanston, to Donald Eugene and Irene Matthews.
On May 11, 1957, mom married Robert Eugene Day. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple. Our mom had many talents, but her best talents were being a wonderful mom, wife and grandma. She loved spending time with her family and helping others along her way.
Mildred is survived by her, son Mark Eugene (Kris); daughter, Cherie Sheffield (Todd); son-in-law, Daniel Morrow; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Eugene and Irene Matthews; her daughter, Stephanie Day Morrow; and her brothers, Keith Matthews and Donald Eugene Matthews.

We want all of Millie’s friends and extended family to know of our deep appreciation for your love and prayers but due to current conditions, a private family funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Crandall Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Evanston Cemetery.
