Fifteen women from the Uinta Wyoming Daughters of Utah Pioneers Company attended the International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers Convention in Layton, Utah, on Oct. 14.
An election meeting was held prior to the general meeting. Serving as election delegates from Uinta Wyoming Company were Vicki Kennedy, Alice Hughes and Kristin Hopkin. New officers installed in the general meeting are: president Cheryl Searle, recording secretary Jane Rasmussen, corresponding secretary Ruby Fielding, treasurer Billie Allred, registrar Carol Billings, historian Constance Huntsman, first vice president Ellen Jeppson, second vice president Katherine Brimhall, third vice president Maryann Jensen, fourth vice president Jeanie Bowerbank and fifth vice president Constance Huntsman.
The keynote speaker was T. C. Christensen, cinematographer, who produced and wrote the script for such films as “17 Miracles, Ephraim’s Rescue,” “Cokeville Miracle” and “Love, Kennedy.” He has received many awards for his work, particularly with the films documenting the journey of the Martin and Willie Handcart companies.
Attending from Uinta Wyoming DUP Company were Kristy Faddis, Vickie Kennedy, Mary Ella Kennedy, Melissa Faddis, Chelsey Faddis, Kristin Hopkin, Kay Ann Saxton, Peggy Nixon, Brenda Greer, Alice Hughes, Maureen Piper, Marsha Hughes, Jolene Lingmann, Donna Ludvigson and Marney Hudson.
