Editor:
I really love gardening. It is a great pastime for me, a retired person on Social Security. I enjoy selecting the plants and putting them in the ground. I enjoy watching them grow, produce flowers and fruit. I wish my arthritis would let me do a better job so it would be weed free.
I suppose the weeds were the reason you did not see the chives you trampled as you stripped my tomato plants. I was so looking forward to having a tomato with my dinner yesterday. I guess I might as well plow it all under and plant grass. You left me so little it hurts.
