Editor:
We are writing this letter to the editor to address the vote of our county commissioners to discontinue paying the county portion of Dawn Sanchez’ salary.
Dawn has given her all to Uinta County 4-H, the kids of Uinta County and to the community as a whole. She doesn’t stop there.
She helps and cares about all kids in the state, and she is always there to help. It is known that she also gives help to those in Utah. She is a very valuable asset to our community, one we cannot afford to lose.
She’s given nearly 21 years of dedicated service. The county not paying her is a huge injustice to Dawn, her family, our 4-H group, the kids of Uinta County and our community as a whole.
We realize that attending a meeting at 2 p.m. on a work day is very inconvenient. But we ask for your support on this issue by attending the next Uinta County Commission meeting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Uinta County Complex.
If you absolutely cannot attend, please send an email or a written letter to your commissioners. Their email addresses are: Eric South, ersouth@uintacounty.com; Craig Welling, craigwelling@yahoo.com; and Wendell Fraughton, wefraughton@uintacounty.com.
Let’s do the right thing!
