June 29 - July 5, 2017

Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.

The Evanston Police Department responded to 188 incidents between the dates of Thursday, June 29, and Wednesday, July 5. Incidents included four medical assists, 30 animal problems, four assaults, three agency assists, two citizen complaints (including breaking and entering), 11 citizen assists, a citizen dispute, two civil problems, domestic violence, two incidents of drugs, two DUIs, four family fights, three fires, two frauds, three incidents of fireworks, three incidents of harassment, three information reports, three intoxicated persons and six juvenile problems.

There were also two cases of found property, a lockout, a message delivery, a missing person, four noise problems, three parking problems, two incidents of property damage (one of them non-vandalism), a prisoner transfer, property destruction, a probation/parole violation, an RV problem, two incidents of resisting or interfering with police, seven suspicious incidents, a hit and run, four traffic accidents with property damages, three traffic complaints, a traffic hazard, two incidents of threatening, a traffic offense, two thefts, trespassing, unsecure premises, three incidents of vagrancy, two incidents of vandalism, two wanted persons, two child welfare checks and five welfare checks. 

The Evanston Police Department arrested 13 persons between the dates of June 29 and July 5. 

Maxine C. Bye, of Evanston, was arrested for giving false information, for resisting arrest and for shoplifting. 

Don B. Chavez, of Salt Lake City, was arrested for public intoxication. 

Eric A. Crandall, of Evanston, was arrested for a misdemeanor probation violation. 

Alicia N. Faust, of Evanston, was arrested for domestic battery. 

Clorice E. Hall, of Evanston, was arrested for breaching the peace. 

Matthew G. Johnson, of North Ogden, Utah, was arrested for public intoxication. 

James L. Matthews, of Meridian, Idaho, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater. 

Adam C. Meider, of Parkway, Texas, was arrested for public intoxication. 

Jimi L. Owens, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested for reckless driving. 

Edgar Rivera, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence. 

William L. Thornock, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to pay. 

Sarah D. Tingey, of Evanston, was arrested for two charges of interfering with police and for a misdemeanor probation violation. 

Andrea R. Woods, of Salt Lake City, was arrested for public intoxication.
