Carrie Elaine Rasmussen passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Sept. 28, 2019.

Carrie was born on July 22, 1965, in Longview, Texas, to Tipton Tindall and Maude “Pede” Lloyd. She grew up in Texas and graduated from Lewisville High School, class of 1983.

In 1994, Carrie welcomed a daughter, Chelsey Elise, with Geff Litts. She married the love of her life, Adam Rasmussen, in Houston on Aug. 10, 2003. Together they welcomed their son, Seth Adam, and their family became complete. They moved to Evanston on Jan. 1, 2012.

Carrie loved music and loved to dance. She loved animals and nature. Carrie was a beautiful person, selfless and so full of love. She was always reaching out to help strangers even in the midst of her own struggles. She cherished time spent sitting under her tree with her loved ones and her dogs. Carrie was an inspiration to all, in the strength and passion she possessed for all things she loved.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Adam; her daughter, Chelsey (Jamis) Short; her son, Seth; and her grandkids, Kasia, Nike, Kamden, Remi and Gracen. She is also survived by her five sisters, Tracey Chamberlain, Theresa Pye, Cecile Henson, Kimberly Nichols and Virginia Williams; as well as multiple nieces and nephews, countless friends and her beloved dogs.

There will be a celebration of life at the Bear Center Pavilion from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.
