MOUNTAIN VIEW — Barbara Ann Longwill, 80, of Mountain View, entered this world on June 7, 1939, and was granted her angel wings on Oct. 4th, 2019.

Barbara, a loving wife and mother, entered this world as the daughter of Michael J. and Lillian B. Blahut, She was born in Princeton N.J. She spent the first part of her life in New Jersey and left for Wyoming in 1986 where she remained.

Barbara had a beautiful life filled with much love and happiness, and all who were touched by her, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her welcoming gentle smile set others at ease. Her warm and caring heart encouraged her to help others without hesitation. Although she was tiny and frail in her later years, she continued to give us courage, hope and strength while reminding us of the preciousness of life and love.

Barbara had a history of knowing the meaning of hard work. Her first job, at the age of 15, was as a soda jerk in a small soda shop in East Millstone, N.J., where she grew up. She also worked at the Johns-Manville pipe building, RCA, Ethicon, Devro, and Church & Dwight as a lab tech, and she also worked in the R & D department. She also worked in the rescue squad in East Millstone, she drove a school bus and after leaving Church and Dwight, she got her CNA and took care of special needs children until she retired. She always regarded her work in the rescue squad, nursing home and being a CNA as the most rewarding jobs in her life.

Barbara enjoyed indexing/arbitrating and was one of the top contributors to the Family Search Indexing program. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, canning, cooking, geocaching and her most recent calling which she provided the weekly church bulletin for her ward. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara enjoyed going to the temple as often as she could and loved her Heavenly Father.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Douglas, her daughter, Jacqueline Patton; her husband, Keith of Wesley Chapel, Fla. and her son, Calvin George Blaser Jr of San Tan Valley, Ariz. She also has three grandchildren:(Priscilla, Kristy and Brittaney; and six great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Jordi, Aaliyah, Molly, Bethany and Jesse.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Mountain View L.D.S. Ward Chapel. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
