Woman suffers serious injuries in motorcycle crash

Posted

Emergency crews from Uinta County responded to a motorcycle accident on Hwy. 150 in the Uinta Mountains on the afternoon of Friday, July 13. A woman in her 60s was taken in serious condition to the University of Utah Hospital via AirMed. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Lawrence Hopper told KSL the woman was rounding a curve in the area near Ruth Lake when she lost control of the motorcycle. She left the roadway and fell approximately 20 feet down an embankment, coming to a stop after hitting a tree and a boulder. The woman was reportedly not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred. Her injuries were serious but were not considered to be life threatening at the time of transport. (COURTESY PHOTOS/Uinta County Fire and Ambulance)
