Weston Rayo Barker, age 85, passed away October 24, 2022, surrounded by family. Rayo was born September 16, 1937, in Randolph, Utah, to F. Weston Barker and Leah Hansen Barker.
Rayo married Carlene Shaw on August 2, 1957. They have four children; Kurt (Anne), Sue, Jim (Terri), and Eric (Stacy). He has seven grandchildren; Sean, Tyler (Jessica), Jessi (Julio), Cory (Caitlin), Tate (Mishawn), Nicolas, and Jayson as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Rayo spent over 50 years as a tax accountant and entrepreneur in Evanston. He often took payments in baked goods and crafts. He also served on the board of directors at First National Bank for years. Rayo’s work ethic was second to none, yet he always made time for family. He was a trusted friend to all and took care of those around him.
Rayo loved dutch oven cooking and gardening. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the family cabin in the Uintas.
Rayo will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022.
