EVANSTON — Evanston High School senior Emmery Wagstaff signed her national letter of intent to play basketball at Utah State University Eastern in Price, Utah, on Thursday.
Wagstaff was contacted by the coaching staff at the school in early November and was invited to visit the campus shortly after. She said she made her decision to sign on Nov. 27.
“The town reminded me a lot of home and I really liked the coaches,” Wagstaff said.
As a junior last year, Wagstaff led the Lady Red Devils with 13 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game while being tabbed as an All-State player for the second-straight year.
Utah State Eastern is a member of the Scenic West Athletic Conference and is currently 9-3 on the year.
