Valley students awarded scholarships from Tata Chemicals

Tata Chemicals announced the winners of its annual Wyoming scholarship program On Wednesday, Aug. 9, during a luncheon ceremony held in their honor. 

During the ceremony, the company presented a total of $19,500 in scholarships to 14 college students enrolled at the University of Wyoming, Western Wyoming Community College or Casper College. Three of the winners are from Lyman and one is from Fort Bridger, while the other 10 winners are also from southwest Wyoming (Green River and Farson).

“For the past four years, our scholarship program has allowed us to invest in and provide support to Tata employees and their families as their children journey on the path to higher education,” said Martin Keighley, the CEO and managing director for Tata Chemicals North America. “We are proud to celebrate the educational pursuits of these local Wyoming college students as they strive toward academic excellence this school year.”

Managers from the company joined winners and their families in celebrating this achievement.
