Locomotive No. 844 stops in Evanston Thursday morning as dozens of community members brave the cold to get a look at the train. Following stops in Idaho, Utah and several places in Wyoming, the Union Pacific steam engine is scheduled to arrive in Cheyenne at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. No. 844, the Living Legend, returned to service in 2016, to pull the Cheyenne Frontier Days special and then journeyed to Memphis for the grand opening of Big River Crossing.
