Uinta County Sheriff’s Office incidents
Jan. 20-26, 2020
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed may not reflect final disposition of cases.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office responded to 85 incidents between the dates of Monday, Jan. 20, and Sunday, Jan. 26. Incidents included three ambulance or medical assists, an animal problem, seven agency assists, breaking and entering, a citizen complaint, four citizen assists, a dead body, two drug tests, three DWUS incidents, a family fight, a nonviolent family offense, two fires, harassment, 10 information reports, an intra-departmental assist, two background investigations, a juvenile problem, lost or found property, a protection order violation, three prisoner transports, four suspicious incidents, strangulation, suicide, three traffic accidents with property damage, threatening, two traffic offenses, two property thefts, two wanted persons and three welfare checks.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office arrested nine persons between the dates of Jan. 20 and Jan. 26.
Ian S. Campbell, of Lyman, was arrested and held on a probation and parole issue.
Gisela L. Coffey, of Denver, was arrested for felony probation revocation.
Eric R. Giles, of Mountain View, was arrested for burglary.
James M. Lovett, of Salt Lake City, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Matthew J. Olson, of Fort Bridger, was arrested for strangulation of a household member and domestic battery.
Josue Sanchez-Martinez, of Juarez, Mexico, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Mindy A. Smith, of Salt Lake City, was arrested for failing to appear and for possessing a controlled substance.
Charles W. Walk, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation revocation and failing to appear.
Robert L. Wasicek, of Bear River, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
