EVANSTON — The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office welcomed two new officers to their law enforcement team on Friday, Oct. 13. Sheriff Doug Matthews conducted the swearing-in ceremony for patrol sergeant Josh Buhmann and county jail detention deputy Shawn Robinson at the Uinta County Detention Center.
Buhmann is no stranger to local law enforcement and previously worked for the Evanston Police Department. He said that he was making the move to the Sheriff’s Office to “broaden my horizons and do something different.”
Robinson lives in the Almy area and has previously been employed in the oil and gas sector. He said that working in law enforcement is “just something that I’ve always wanted to try to do.”
Family members were present at the ceremony and new co-workers welcomed the two men to the staff.
