EVANSTON — Evanston Regional Hospital recently announced the appointment of Tony P. Gillies as the new chair of the hospital’s Board of Trustees. He replaces Van Johnson, who served as chair since October 2014.

Tony has lived in Lyman for 36 years. He works as the business manager for Uinta County School District No. 6. He and his wife, Carilyn, have five married children and 12 grandchildren. He has served on the hospital’s board since January 2015.

“I appreciate the opportunity to serve on the hospital board,” Gillies said. “As chair, my desire is to continue to see improvement and growth at Evanston Regional Hospital and to serve our community with quality, compassionate care close to home.”

“I have enjoyed getting to know the hospital staff, doctors, and other board members over the last few months,” he continued. “It’s exciting to work with a team who is both passionate and committed to achieving excellence in healthcare.”

“I look forward to partnering with Tony as we continue our focus on local, patient-centered care at ERH,” said Jeremy Davis, CEO of Evanston Regional Hospital. “We both want to thank Van Johnson for his many years of service. I know Evanston Regional Hospital holds a special place in his heart, and we are equally grateful for his contributions to our hospital.”

Evanston Regional Hospital is governed by a local Board of Trustees, which currently has 14 members.
