Editor:
This last Sunday, I was honored to be given a gift by a total stranger. As I was putting my groceries in my car, a nice-looking young man quietly approached me. He had in his hands a mask — a very nice mask — and a plastic bag of blue gloves. Before I could blink, he gently looked at my mask that I was given to by a local doctor’s office.
He smiled and said, “Here, I think you may like a mask more substantial than that.” Needless to say, I was caught off guard. I asked him if I could pay him for his much-appreciated kindness. He smiled and said, “Nope, just doing what I can do to help.”
His gesture certainly made my day. I will look for something I may have and hope to return the favor to another “stranger.” God bless you, my “stranger” friend. He quickly took off before i could say much more.
