Susan Avra Warner, 64, died Saturday, May 25, at her home in Evanston.

She was born April 25, 1955, in Pomona, California, to Raymond Edward and Bonnie May Lee Avra. She enjoyed spending family time with her beloved grandchildren and children, cooking, shopping, drawing, painting and writing poetry. She also loved sharing memories and stories of her loved ones that she had lost as well as passing on sacred family traditions and passing on her mother’s recipes to her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Ray Avra.

Susan is survived by her significant other, Richard B, Taylor; three children, Edward A. Warner, William J. Warner and Katie Sue Warner Saavedra; five grandchildren, Camila Rose Saavedra, Damita Leah Saavedra, Emma Rae Saavedra, Eli James Warner and Ada Mae Warner; and a brother, George Avra.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at Hamblin Park in Evanston on Sunday, June 2.
