EVANSTON — Student council is a really great experience. Student council members are involved in helping with school activities. They have the opportunity to learn more about the school and what it is like to plan big events. They do service projects for the school — such as the school closet, where students and families in need receive clothing.
They also serve the amazing Davis Middle School teachers dinner during parent/teacher conference to show appreciation for all the teachers do for the students and community. It is a really fun way to give back to the teachers in a small way.
The student council helps with the talent show every year. Organizing the talent show as a student council helps students gain valuable experience in planning a major activity. Student council is a good way to bond with other students and share ways to make the school a better place.
The amazing advisor, Mary Brown, is really good at making it fun and ensuring that students in student council have a good experience. Student council teaches students to be organized and service-oriented. It is also a good way to get involved in helping at school. In student council students learn to do challenging things that help them prepare for the future.
