The Uinta County Conservation District (UCCD) is taking seedling tree orders for the 2018 spring planting season. Some species have already sold out, so those interested are encouraged to order soon. If there is a particular species you are looking for but don’t see it on the order form or it is sold out, it’s possible that it is available from another nursery; if that’s the case, call UCCD.
The conservation district’s tree program is available to help landowners and homeowners establish plantings that will improve their property and benefit them in many different ways. Trees can be used as windbreaks, snow fences, noise and visual barriers, erosion control, wildlife habitat and more. The program is available to anyone with enough space to plant trees.
If you need help planning a windbreak or other type of tree planting, please call the office. UCCD staff is happy to visit with you in the office or meet you at the planting site and provide technical assistance where needed.
Tree order forms are available at the UCCD office on 204 East Sage St. in Lyman or online at www.uintacountycd.com. For more information, contact Kerri Sabey at (307) 787-3070 or ksabey@bvea.net.
