Ruth Ann Pavlisin of Sandy, Utah, passed away with her husband Ed by her side on December 13, 2022, while vacationing in Bali, Indonesia. Born August 13, 1952, Ruth grew up in Evanston, graduating from Evanston High School in 1970. In 1976, Ruth married Jeffrey Michael Fairbanks and gave birth to Jeremy Beau Fairbanks in 1981.  After divorcing Jeffrey in 1991, Ruth married Edward Michael Pavlisin in 1997. Ruth retired from her career spanning five decades as a legal secretary in 2017 and loved spending time with her friends and family, as well as traveling whenever possible. Her second home in Mesquite, Nevada allowed her to stay warm in the winter but also made it easier for her to enjoy her hobby of playing the slot machines.

Although Ruth suffered from multiple debilitating health issues during her lifetime including diabetes, COPD and MS, she always maintained a positive outlook and battled valiantly for many years. She always had the love and support of her family, especially her husband Ed, who always made sure she was well cared for and comfortable to the very end. If there was something Ruth wanted to do, she found a way to do it and enjoyed the time she had while she had it. Ruth died doing what she loved and is now free from her physical limitations. Ruth leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ruth was preceded in death by parents Raymond William Bloomfield and Betty Louisa Bloomfield (Walling). She is survived by siblings Suzette Nau, John Bloomfield, and Karen Cook (Mike Johnson); husband Edward Pavlisin; son Jeremy Fairbanks (Jennifer); stepchildren Patrick Pavlisin (Jordan) and Jennifer Storm (Chris); and sister-in-law Jane Kreider (Jack).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
