EVANSTON — Uinta BOCES No. 1 Foundation has been awarded a grant from Rocky Mountain Power Foundation. The grant provides support and expansion of Uinta BOCES No. 1 programs for literacy and high school equivalency preparation, employment and parenting training.
Uinta BOCES No. 1 is a community education center serving Evanston and the surrounding area. Uinta BOCES No. 1 is a one-stop center where an individual can attain their educational goals from adult literacy up to graduate degrees.
“We are very appreciative of the support we have received from Rocky Mountain Power Foundation. This funding helps to support our programs and students, which helps our community flourish. Rocky Mountain Power Foundation has always been a strong supporter of our programs and the needs of our community. This grant award helps to make our community better and overall educational level increase,” Mike Williams, executive director of Uinta BOCES No. 1, said.
The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Rocky Mountain Power. Officials said its mission, through its charitable investments, is to support the growth and vitality of communities. The foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations in the categories of education; civic and community betterment; culture and arts; and health, welfare and social services.
