EVANSTON — The Evanston High School wrestling team earned a fifth-place finish on Saturday out of 13 team at the Evanston Invitational.
Spring Creek won the event with 288.5 points while Bear River (222.0), Rock Springs (173.0), and Green River 149.0 rounded out the top four teams.
Lyman finished seventh with 82.0 points and Mountain View was 11th with 49.0 points.
Evanston’s Gavin Simmons took second at 195 after Payton Tucker of Green River claimed a 4-3 decision.
Lyman senior Dryden Menck, a two-time state champion, won by fall at 2:48 against Carson Bywater of Bear River.
