Racing gets exciting at Wyoming Downs

EVANSTON — The second weekend of racing at Wyoming Downs provided a lot of excitement and the opportunity to win a buck or two.

The first race on Saturday had R.J. Griggs winning the race paying $12.50 to win. Don’t Look Ethel was second and Chief Fly Boy was third. The Exacta paid out a whopping $769.60 and the trifecta paid $1,031.80. E.Z. Empress was fourth.

The second race had Jaggersfadedblujeans winning and paying $3.40 to win. Jerry’s Krud Runner was second and Bay Max was third. The exacta paid $183.40 but the trifecta paid an amazing $1,815.80. Mr. Fancy Jumper was fourth.

In the third race of the day, Miss Five Bar Maid won the race paying out $10 to win. Itty Bitty was second and First Prize Fiesta was third and Jr. Power Wagon was fourth.

The fourth race had Lt. Heza Winner winning and paying out $10.40. Letsgetitonmarvin was second and Cranky T was third. Pour Me a Corona was fourth.

Race five had Dash Off to Jump win the race and pay $18.20 to win. Mountain Vista was second, Paddy Dashair was third and Mark Me Famous was fourth.

Mad Version won the sixth race paying $42. Favorite Snowflake was second, Dashing Darlin was third and Move Over Moe was fourth.

Blue Boy won the seventh race paying $5.20 to win. Big Shooter was second, Be Our Honor was third and Wilma’s Alright Now was fourth and the trifecta paid $721.20.

Race eight was won by I’m a Big Deal, paying $6.40 to win. Salty Le Mousee was second, Sefolosha was third and Slick Deal was fourth.

On Sunday the fun continued at Wyoming Downs.

In race one, Love the Boss won and paid $4.40 to win. Outlaw Trail was second, Jess Gone Streakin’ was third and Gonna Be a Factor was fourth.

Queen of the Karte won the second race, paying $6.40 to win. Danzing Donajour was second, Dashing Brooks was third and Sixy Hero On Fire was fourth.

In the third race of the day, Jess Chugger won paying $4.40 to win. Czech Me First was second, Jess Gonna Loose was third and Stirring the Pot was fourth. 

Oh La won the fourth race paying $21.60 to win. Big Daddy was second, Jayhawker was third and Proud Marrisita was fourth.

The fifth race was won by Jess an Okey, paying $17.40 to win. Just a Win Away was second, Kandy Kiss was third and Numaga was fourth.

Cypress Sally paid $6.4o by winning the sixth race. Just Tell Me More was second, Dash N the Wind was third and Traffic Rock was fourth.

In the seventh race, Mrshakey won the race and paid $13.40 to win. Speedin’ With Eddie was second, C.J. Pro was third and Another Bumper was fourth.

The final race of the weekend paid well for those who picked the right horses for the trifecta, $1,077. In first place was #8 American Jet, paying $14.40 to win. In second place was #3 Jonwains Justice. In third place was #2 Red Head Red. In fourth place was Papa’s Lookin’ Fine.

Races continue this weekend. The gates open at 11 a.m. and racing begins at about 1 p.m.
