EVANSTON — The weather was warm on Saturday and racers were making a lot of adjutments to account for air that had less density but the cars were fast, the competition fun and there were a lot of amazing and interesting cars.
There was a 1951 Henry J racing and a couple of supercharged classic Camaros. One was burning alcohol and hit speed of upwards of 130 MPH in the 1/8 mile track.
There were cars and trucks for all enthusiasts. Pickups, sports cars, muscle cars of all types, including Ford, Chevy, Mopar, and an AMC Gremlin.
