Quneth Dean Hansen, 98, passed away July 26, 2021, in Evanston.

He was born on March 18, 1923, in Helper, Utah, to Harry and Myrtle (Allred) Hansen.

He served his country during WWII and is one of the last WWII veterans from Uinta County.

He married Beth Rollins Osborn in the Ogden LDS Temple on April 25, 1996. They were married 25 years.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He served two missions, one in Samoa where he was so loved by the Samoan people that he was asked to stay for three years Later in life, he served with his wife Beth in Arizona and New Mexico. He was a very loved member of the Evanston Fourth Ward for many years. Dean lived his life walking hand-in-hand with our Savior Jesus Christ and loved the Gospel.

Dean loved working on the family ranch with his family. He also had a long career working in many Evanston schools as a school janitor. The children loved him very much.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beth; stepchildren: Sharron Osborn (LaMar) Eyre, Barbara Osborn (Jerry) Zellars, Kathy Osborn Lytle and Richard E. Osborn (Deceased).

He has many wonderful nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews who considered Uncle Dean as their second Father and loved him very much and he loved each of them, too.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Galen Harry Hansen (Gwendolyn Norris), LaMar J. Hansen (Arvy Marie Wright), Sheldon A Hansen and Kenneth Coy Hansen (Zona Clara Saxton).

Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. in the Evanston Fourth Ward Church, 201 Sage St. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 30, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Interment with military honors will follow in the Evanston City Cemetery.
