Kayne Pyatt, the author of “Old Woman’s Garbage,” visited Evanston Child Development Center on Dec. 13. Pyatt presented each child with a copy of her book.
Without prompting, sweet Paislee Mackey of the Moose classroom asked Pyatt to sign the book she received. Pyatt graciously visited 14 classrooms and individually presented each child with her book to take home.
School officials said the students were thrilled with their gift.
