Phyllis Jean Martin

Phyllis Jean Martin passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, at her home in Evanston. She was born on Sept. 17, 1941, to Clarence and Rachel Dunlap in Dalton, Nebraska; she was one of four children.

Phyllis married Elmer Earl Martin on June 25, 1960, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Together they had three children.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping in the mountains and going to Wendover, Nevada.

Phyllis loved doing genealogy with her husband and together they would walk and record names and dates in many of the cemeteries in Wyoming. The information acquired was used in her published works. Phyllis loved taking care of everyone in her family.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer E. Martin; her children, Toni (John) Perry and Rick (Joanne) Martin; her grandsons, Christopher Newman, Mikel Martin and Stephen (Karina) Martin; her great-granddaughters, Madelynn and Isabela; and her sister, Barbara Holland.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Rachel Dunlap; her son, Mikel Martin; and her brothers, Jerry Dunlap and Ray Dunlap.

Cremation has taken place per the family’s wishes.
