CASPER – The Mountain View and Lyman volleyball teams still have some season left.
The Lady Buffalos and Lady Eagles both survived elimination games on Friday at the Class 3A state tournament at the Casper Events Center.
Both teams entered the day with their seasons on the line after falling in the opening round on Thursday.
Mountain View claimed a 25-13, 25-13, 23-15, 25-21 win against Star Valley in its first-round consolation game.
The Buffalos will play the loser of Rawlins and Riverton at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The winner of that match will play for third place at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Lyman held on to claim a 25-11, 22-25, 25-11, 20-25, 16-14 win in a thrilling opening-round consolation match on Friday.
The Lady Eagles will take on Worland at 9 a.m. Saturday. The winner will play for third place at 2 p.m.
