Micheal Kay Fraughton passed away July 25 at his home in Evanston. He was born on March 14, 1954, in American Fork, Utah, to Vernon Dee Fraughton and Carol Fay (Penrod) Fraughton and was one of six children.

Micheal married MaryAnn Hall on Sept. 8, 1972, in American Fork, Utah. Together they had five children. He was a master of fine art and a man of his family, with a strong love for his wife and God. He was a man inspired by life; even to the end, he didn’t give up and left here stronger than ever.

Micheal is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Fraughton of Evanston; daughters, Kristine (Shane) Goble and Penny (Kevin) Bybee, both of Evanston; his sons, Sonny (Rebecca) Fraughton of Evanston, Alan (Amie) Fraughton of Fulshear, Texas, and Broque (Chelsie) Fraughton of Kennewick, Washington; his father, Vernon Dee Fraughton of American Fork, Utah; brothers, Karl (Lydia) Fraughton of Washington, Jeff (Jill) Fraughton of American Fork, Utah, and Wayne (Lisa) Fraughton of Lehi, Utah; his sisters, Jody Fraughton of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Keeley Snyder of Arizona; and also 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Fay Penrod Fraughton Tripp, his granddaughter Jerzie Ann Fraughton and many others.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 31, at the Evanston South Stake Center, 632 Twin Ridge Avenue in Evanston. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 31, prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in the Evanston City Cemetery.
