Megan Marie Plowman Widmer, 32, passed at her home in Smithfield, Utah, to her heavenly home on Aug. 30, after a long, courageous battle with Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

Megan was born in Roosevelt, Utah, to Debra Rayl Plowman and Ricky G. Plowman. She was raised in Evanston with her brother Jared. Megan loved running, cycling, dancing and modeling. She was Miss Congeniality at the Wyoming Miss Teen USA Pageant and also won Poise and Personality in the Wyoming Miss Teen America Pageant, and loved being on the Classics dance team in high school.

Megan had a lifelong devotion to her membership and callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Megan married Sterling Grant Widmer in the Salt Lake City Temple on November 7, 2003, and they lived in Cache Valley. Sterling and Megan are the proud parents of four beautiful daughters: Kenzie, Samantha, Annabelle and Londyn.

Megan’s life was her family. She studied diligently to learn to create foods and activities to support the needs of their daughters. She was a great party planner and volunteer, particularly in her devotion to the NICU. Service to others was her passion. Megan had many creative skills in interior design and carpentry. With her woodworking and shopping expertise, she has created an elegant, immaculate home.

Megan is survived by her husband; daughters; parents; brother, Jared (Britni); grandfathers, Gerald (Jerry) Plowman and Theodore Bryne Rayl; in-laws, Leslie Allred and Steve (Mary) Widmer; aunts; uncles; cousins; in-law siblings; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, LaDonna Hardman Plowman and Roberta Allene Rayl.

Our celebration of her life will be next week at the LDS South Stake Center in Smithfield, Utah; date and time will be released later. She will be buried in the Smithfield cemetery. Condolences may be sent via email to Nelson Funeral home, www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.
