Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Fiero passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, at Intermountain Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Kathy was born Oct. 28, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas, at Harris Methodist Hospital, to Kenneth and Freda Fiero. She attended school in Lyman, including Lyman High School, but graduated from University High School in Laramie. She was involved in many activities including yearbook staff, cheerleading, and student council. Participation in the community continued throughout her adult life. Kathy attended the University of Wyoming and remained a loyal and avid fan of the university.
During her adult years, she lived in both San Mateo, California, and Bend, Oregon. Kathy worked in finance and banking prior to returning to Wyoming in 1988. A very caring person, Kathy was always available to help friends and family at a moment’s notice.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert S. (Barbara), Jon W. (Kathy) and James K.; nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta St. Evanston. Interment will be in Evanston.
