Marjorie Kay Jones of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at the age of 75 on Tuesday, June 28. Marge, or Katie as she was known to some, was born on June 13,1947, in Whitefish, Montana, to Mary and Wilbur Britton. She graduated from South Rich High School in 1965, and later that year she married Tom Jones in Randolph, Utah.

She lived and worked in Evanston in the financial community until her retirement. Katie and Tom then moved to an 80-acre farm in Idaho for the next 10 years to try their hands at farming and raising the occasional barn cats and ducks

Later they became snowbirds and spent her retirement traveling between Twin Falls, Idaho, and Yuma, Arizona, where she met many new friends.

Katie had many hobbies through life such as drawing, reading, snowmobiling and playing card games. She was an avid bowler and participated in numerous tournaments in the western United States.

She enjoyed using her retirement time to read a good mystery or build a challenging puzzle, but her favorite hobby was to cheer for her beloved Utah Jazz basketball team.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jones; brothers, Frank Britton and Clifford Britton; and her husband, Tom Jones.

She is survived by her siblings, John, Tommy, Jim and Charline; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Per her wishes, her ashes will be spread in Kemmerer, on a knoll overlooking a meadow, train tracks and a river that had special meaning to her and Tom.
