Lois P. (Biggs) Cronister

Lois P. (Biggs) Cronister passed away May 26 in Evanston. She was born Dec. 9, 1939, to Harold and Wilma Biggs in Hotchkiss, Colorado.

Lois met the love of her life Jim Cronister in Durango, Colorado, and they were married July 12, 1958. Her family moved to Evanston in the winter of 1970.

Lois was a homemaker, a salesperson with Blake Shoes, secretary/treasurer for Evanston Boat Club, a bookkeeper for Sound Center and bookkeeper for her husband when they opened J.C. Electric LLC.

She loved traveling with Jim to Shrine functions, camping, fishing and gambling in Las Vegas and Wendover and was a Past Matron of Esther Star Ester Chapter 9.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, William Cronister.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Cronister; three children: Jerry (Elain) Cronister of Cottontown, Tennessee; Don Cronister of Evanston; and Debra (Travis) Hansen of Evanston; her brother, Bert (Virginia) Biggs of Pueblo,  Colorado; sister-in-law, Sally (Curtis) Hutchins of Aztec, New Mexico, and Alberta, Canada; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Lois will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Cremation has already taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
