BOYS BASKETBALL FROM THURSDAY
Rich 58, Lyman 34
RICH — The Rich Rebels, the No. 1-ranked team in Class 1A Utah, claimed a 58-34 win against Lyman in a non-conference matchup on Thursday night.
Rich improved to 13-4 with the win, while Lyman fell to 1-15 overall. The Eagles will be at Cody Feb. 9 and at Powell Feb. 10. Rich also claimed a 75-28 win on Saturday against Mount Vernon to move to 14-4 on the year. Rich will play at Manila on Feb. 9 and at West Side (Idaho) on Feb. 10
BOYS BASKETBALL FROM SATURDAY
Big Piney 51, Mountain View 50
MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Mountain View High School boys’ basketball team suffered a 51-50 loss to Big Piney in a non-conference game on Friday night.
The Buffalos (6-9, 2-1 3A West-South Quadrant) will travel to Powell Feb. 9 and will be at Cody Feb. 10.
Briggin Bluemel scored 15 points, Brandon Vitt added 10, and Braeden Walk chipped in with nine to lead Mountain View.
GIRLS BASKETBALL FROM SATURDAY
Mountain View 58, Big Piney 32
MOUNTAIN VIEW — Baylee Tims scored 18 points and Haily Stephens finished with 13 as the No. 5 Lady Buffalos cruised to a 58-32 win against Big Piney in a non-conference matchup on Saturday.
Mountain View (11-4, 1-2 3A West-South Quadrant) will play at Powell Feb. 9 and at Cody Feb. 10.
Lyman 67, Rich 40
LYMAN — The Lyman High School girls’ basketball team, ranked second in Class 3A, improved to 15-0 on the year after rolling to a 67-40 win against Rich on Saturday in a non-conference game.
The Lady Eagles will be at Cody Feb. 9 and at Powell Feb. 10
Lyman leads the 3A West-South Quadrant with a 3-0 record.
