PINEDALE -- On Friday, Jan. 19 Special Olympics Wyoming athletes from Wyoming’s southwestern communities of Evanston, Jackson, Lander, Pinedale and Star Valley will compete at Area II Winter Games at White Pine Ski Area. This competition is in preparation for the State Winter Games that will be held in Jackson, WY on February 6-8, 2018. State Winter Games is one of the four main Special Olympics Wyoming competition events held each year. Athletes compete in Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing and Snowboarding.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend to support and cheer on local athletes as they qualify for upcoming statewide competition.
