Lillian Lowham Sundquist passed away Dec. 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving nieces and nephews.

Lillian was born June 30, 1930 in Evanston, the daughter of Alex and Mary Lowham. Lillian graduated from Evanston High School in 1948, and she graduated from St. Mark’s School of Nursing in 1951.

She was a wonderful, loving, generous aunt to so many nieces and nephews spanning three generations. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and past colleagues.

Lillian was prominent in the inception of the paramedic program in Orange County, California. She instructed firefighters from numerous fire departments for 10 years. She retired in 1992 from UC Irvine Hospital, and she was able to travel with friends and family for many years.

Lillian is survived by her sister, Ruth Anderson, and brother, Sam Lowham of Evanston and their families. She is also survived by Carol Chamberlain of Orange, California, and Laurie Adams of Yorba Linda, California, and their families.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, at Hilgenfeld Mortuary, Anaheim, California.
